Independent Contractor Update: Paypal!

WE LISTENED TO YOUR FEEDBACK

Effective June 1, 2020, our Independent Contractor Disbursement Policy is changing. All assignments completed on or after June1st will only disbursed through a PayPal account. This will be our sole method of disbursement and therefore we will no longer provide the option of a paper check or direct deposit.

As you are aware, we survey Independent Contractors on a regular basis to gather feedback on various issues. Providing PayPal as our payment process has consistently been requested. By making this switch we will:

  • Require less personal information
  • Simplify the disbursement process for Independent Contractors and Alta360 Research
  • Give Independent Contractors more options on what to do with their money and what bank accounts are linked to their PayPal account
  • Eliminate the need for Alta360 Research to provide a 1099 to each Independent Contractor who receives more than $600 per year in fees. PayPal will be responsible for providing Independent Contractors with a 1099-K, if required.
